Brooklyn-based director/CD Chris Carboni just released this wonderfully off-kilter musical trailer for Your Memories Remember You, his new adult animated anthology series merging black comedy with surreal 2D animation.

“Each episode refracts big questions through a different prism: What do we cling to? What do we sacrifice? What’s worth saving from the cosmic dumpster fire?”
“At the edge of each unique apocalypse, we follow a different cast of characters — some fighting alien invaders, some creating a final artistic masterpiece, some consuming enough mushrooms to blur the boundaries of this life and the next.
“Each episode refracts big questions through a different prism: What do we cling to? What do we sacrifice? What’s worth saving from the cosmic dumpster fire? Blending gallows humor, surreal 2D animation, original genre-bending songs, and the occasional emotional gut-punch, YMRY explores why we bother to care at the end of the world(s).”
