Acclaimed Japanese filmmaker Takashi Yamazaki, who just took home the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects for Godzilla Minus One, introduces a new kaiju named Foodlosslla in this spot for Japanese food and biotech brand Ajinomoto.

The spot draws on the director’s recent international fame to highlight the issue of 244 million tones of annual household food waste in Japan and suggests the client’s products and little creativity may be the solution.
