Director Thibault de Fournas at Parallel Studio in Paris: “The Swiss luxury watch brand TAG Heurer (who has been a major partner in motorsport for many years) entrusted us with the creation of its 2021 Xmas campaign.
“We, therefore, created a graphic universe combining traditional Christmas images and those of motor racing. The Christmas elves are turned into tiny Formula 1 drivers and Santa’s sleigh into sled race cars. To drive them, the legendary Ayrton Senna, Max Verstappen, and Steve McQueen.
“The drivers and their mechanics are working together to prepare Christmas as fast as possible. They work in the TAG Heurer workshop where they test and prepare the various watches. Then the watches are placed in Formula 1 sleds, to be delivered around the world.
“This campaign is produced in traditional animation with the help of the Parisian studio Remembers Production. The graphic environment set up for the film was then used for all the variations.”
