Channeling the feel of classic stop-motion holiday specials, Nexus director Conor Finnegan crafts the warm and fuzzy tale of Tiptoe, a reindeer who overcomes a fear of flying when friends teach her to believe in herself.
Conor Finnegan: “It was a pleasure to tell this Christmas tale for Macy’s. I was lucky to collaborate with the best people working in stop-motion animation, from model and puppet makers, to lighting, camera, and animators.
“We went for a ‘get as much in-camera as possible’ approach and the results are something I’m really proud of. We’ve made a rich, warm, nostalgic – and hopefully – uplifting Christmas film.”
A giant inflatable version of Tiptoe will also feature in Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on November 25 in New York.
