Jocie Juritz: “In July, the International Rescue Committee talked with schoolgirls in Afghanistan about their fears for the future, and hopes of getting an education despite the country’s turmoil and repeated threats of violence.
“Since these interviews, the Afghan government has been ousted from Kabul and U.S. military and coalition forces have withdrawn.
“Though there have been claims that girls will still be able to attend school, the future of their education hangs in the balance.”
