Imaginary Forces: “We were lucky to partner with BET on part of their Black History Month ‘True Black Impact’ campaign in which we honor the achievements and contributions Black people have made to shape society and culture.
Creative Director Kathy Liang: “This three-spot campaign addresses how Black Impact is joyful. Black Impact is current. Black Impact affects us more than most people know and we are proud to help tell that story.
“‘Movements’ unifies the past and present by layering collage imagery of the many progressive social movements led by black voices. The most designed of the three spots, it combines imagery from multiple sources to metaphorically represent the powerful words echoed in the script.
“‘Movements’ also exclusively uses the typeface Martin by Tré Seals of Vocal type, one of the only black-owned type foundries.”
