Director Shaofu Zhang and the crew at Taiko’s Studio in LA and Wuhan, China reimagines the classic Chinese myth of Pangu (aka the first living being and creator of everything else) in this charming short film for Tencent’s video streaming service.

Shaofu Zhang: “Pangu centers around a father who doesn’t understand his son but gradually learns to accept his son for who he is.

“This film is for everyone who felt they weren’t good enough, were too different, or weren’t accepted. Pangu is inspired by all the people who feel like circles in a square world.”

Our best wishes to the Taiko staff in China enduring the coronavirus crisis.
