Mateusz Kozlowski, an animation artist/designer in Gdansk, Poland, creates an appropriately surreal and surprisingly emotional CG dream for a track by Polish electronic artist New Rome (aka Tomasz Bednarczyk).
Mateusz Kozlowski: “This music video is essentially a manifesto about the fight of nature against the artificial world. The question arises: can machines imitate the behavior of nature? Or even more: what if machines could imitate human emotions, for example, love? Will it be true love or just a string of ones and zeros?
“I wanted to tell a simple story to work well with the music layer. The main goal was to depict two robots and their last minutes of existence. Maybe, for example, they will try to share their last moments. It would be such a beautiful vision of the end.”
