New York designer, animator, and illustrator Gung-Kai Koo takes a whimsical look at the “many interesting shapes formed while we’re posing in our daily life – shapes like numbers.”
“Living in a big city there are different kinds of people with different personalities, careers, tastes, and lifestyles. I started making number designs with illustrations of different character’s close-up until a set of 40 illustrations from 0 to 9 were completed.
“Then I animated each of them and turned the set into 40 loopy animations in grids. I called it Number Who.”
