French director/designer Ugo Bienvenu applies his signature golden age of comic books style to a quirky and perky retro-future holiday promo for Japanese clothing brand Edwin.

“Ugo Bienvenu and Kevin Manach formed a close collaboration after attending leading design institutions Les Gobelins, CalArts, and in Ugo’s case, Les Arts Decoratifs in Paris.
“It was in California that they turned to animation as their main medium, cultivating a contemporary, experimental style reminiscent of the comic books of the 40s and 50s.”
